What’s sup ya’ll!? This is Greg Rogers. Glad to say I’m ready to share a bit of my life with you guys and that I am happy to partner with Recruit Diaries. I currently attend Arbor View High School in Las Vegas, Nevada and I am a Defensive Tackle in the Class of 2017 weighing in at 6’4 305! Sheeesh right? Ahaha. I’d probably say playing Defensive Tackle is the best thing in the world, getting the opportunity to go out there and make big plays every Friday night is a major key *word to DJ Khaled*, I finished up my Junior Season with 64 Total Tackles, 17 for loss and 6 Sacks, so it was a pretty big year for me, but there is more work to be done! I would have to say I am aggressive and I make plays. At the same time though, I want to take up space and let my linebackers make big plays, so I’d say that I am an all around kind of guy! The toughest player I played against last year was the Center from Liberty High School out here in Vegas! Real good kid, great technique and very fundamentally sound; hope somebody offered that kid! My favorite player is Aaron Donald of the L.A. Rams because he’s an unbelievably talented player and isn't scared to get after it! What inspires me to be a great football player? I would say that it would be my family. I want to take my whole family to new heights and get everybody in a better situation. I try to be as much of a leader as I can be to my younger siblings (3 brothers 1 sister) and guide them in the right footsteps. I was given the gift and it’s my time to utilize it the right way. My mother and father have raised me to be a smart and wise young man and I want to be able to pay them back for all the hard work and countless hours they’ve put into me, ya know?

Football has become a big part of my life. The game is just an amazing thing! It teaches you brotherhood, family, trust and loyalty. It's a big thing man. I believe a lot of people and schools look over me because I’m just a kid from Vegas, which a lot of people don’t think kids from Vegas can ball, which is why I try and make a name for the city because there really is a lot of slept on talent out here. We workin’ just know that!! I currently hold 20 college football offers from some big time universities. Recently I picked up offers from TENNESSEE, USC, OKLAHOMA, NEBRASKA, and OLE MISS between the past couple weeks, and I’m blessed for every single one of them! I received my first offer my freshman year from the University of Utah, it was real big time for me because I never in a million years would’ve thought that I was going to get my first offer my freshman year, but I did and I’m thankful for it everyday because without the man above, all of this wouldn’t be possible!! I would have to say my favorite offer would be all of them just because of the fact that I’m open to all schools and thankful for them all, however just a few days ago I picked up a offer from my dream school USC, it was a dream come true and was an offer that I was waiting on for a minute. I would, however, like to see a few schools get in on my recruitment like Notre Dame, Oregon, Michigan and a few others and I plan on taking an unofficial to a few schools on my offer list and a few that aren't, so I’m looking forward to that.

Right now I’m preparing for #THEOPENING on May 22nd in Oakland. My plan is simple: to go out there and dominate and get my spot. It has been a dream of mine to get there, so right now I’m putting the pieces together to go get it!! I recently just transferred to Arbor View high school and I’m really enjoying it! I love the coaching staff, the people, and everything about the school; it’s a great place to be. Next season should be a very interesting one. I’ll have some new teammates and will be in some different colors but I’m still the same guy and I still look to go out there and get wins with my team! It should be big year, make sure to be on the lookout, GO AGGIES!

What is #TAOS? TAOS is a short abbreviation me and my best friend Chrys Jackson created that stands for The Art Of Success, we came up with it when we were in the 6th grade. It means a lot to us and represents a journey to the top no matter what the circumstances are and the challenges you face. We encourage others that feel like it relates to them to use it because it has a powerful meaning behind it!
